One theme that emerged during my stay was slowness. I intentionally scheduled nothing. I woke late, drank coffee in silence, dipped in the pool, lounged by shade trees, journaled, napped.
I prepared midday gazpacho (tomato, cucumber, bell pepper, garlic, olive oil, chill) — cool and refreshing. Dinner was a simple pasta primavera tossed with olive oil, garlic, fresh vegetables.
Late afternoon I strolled the resort, chatted with fellow guests, collected shells, skipped stones. Evening I watched fireflies, listened to night insects, walked the pier under moonlight. This pace felt restorative.
