I rolled into Blue Lagoons RV Resort late in the afternoon, the sun softening over Aransas Bay just across the road. The paved sites and clean concrete pads made backing in my trailer easier than I expected — I sighed with relief as I leveled and hooked up water, sewer, and power.
That evening, I wandered down to the newly opened 500-foot lighted fishing pier and watched fishermen casting lines in golden twilight. It felt peaceful, soothing. I set up a small grill and made foil-packet shrimp with corn and new potatoes, seasoning with garlic, butter, a dash of cajun spice, and a squeeze of fresh lime. The salt air, the sound of water lapping—perfect company.
In the coming days, I discovered the walking paths around the park, made friends in the clubhouse, and felt the stress of daily life begin to melt. This first impression told me I’d found more than just a campsite — a small coastal haven.
