After a slow breakfast, I drove into downtown Rockport, where charming galleries, shops, and coastal murals invite exploration. I stopped in to chat with a local artist painting a seascape, bought a small watercolor print, and sampled fresh oysters at a seafood shack.

Back at Blue Lagoons, I set up a small outdoor easel and sketched the bay from my campsite, letting the light shift across the water. Lunch was a grilled vegetable and goat cheese panini cooked on my camp griddle.

Later I lounged by the pool, dipped in, cooled off, read, and in the evening participated in a potluck dinner with other guests — someone made jambalaya, others brought desserts, and voices mingled under string lights. It felt deeply communal.
